Scholars Discussing Role of Islamic Cultural Festivals

A delegation team from the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine conducted interviews with virtuous Islamic scholars and religious figures from the Indian city Lucknow to discuss the role of festivals in the Islamic culture.

Hussein El-Salami, Head of the Holy Shrine's Exhibition Division interviewed Sayyed Seraj Mehdi, a former member of the Indian Parliament and currently Head of a prominent Indian political party.

Mehdi commended the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine for providing high-quality care for the pilgrims who arrive at Karbala city as well as the global cultural establishments that strengthen the spiritual bond between the international lovers of Ahlul-Bait and the Holy Shrines.

Another interview was conducted with Sayyed Hameed El-Hassan, a prominent religious scholar who also commended the Imam Hussein and El-Abbas Holy Shrines for hosting the "Commander of Faithfull Festival" in Lucknow two year ago.

Also worth mentioning that the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine is currently participating in "The Commander of Faithful Festival – Divine Bestowal and Humane Approach" in the Indian city Hyderabad.
