El-Karbala'i: Islamic Supreme Religious Authority Refuses Foreign Interventions And Warns From False Propaganda

May 1, 2015. Second part of the Friday Sermon held in the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and the preacher of the Friday Sermon in Karbala city, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Karbala'i mentioned two important issues:

First:

The Islamic Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali Es-Sistani refused the last decision made by the American House of Representatives, which allows for military inference and aid to some cities in Iraq without the knowledge of the Iraqi Government.

It has been mentioned and on various occasions that foreign interventions which seek to support Iraq in its war against terrorism, should not affect the sovereignty of Iraq, the unity of its citizens, nor the land.

In addition, the lack of confidence, differences, factiousness, and the loss of confidence among Iraqi parties is preparing the appropriate grounds for foreign interferences that place the country under sectarianism and division risks.

For this reason, the Iraqi politicians must reject and disallow such interventions while finding the proper solutions that benefit and unite the people of this great country.

Moreover, the courageous Military Forces, Iraqi Armed Groups, and volunteers have proven their heroic and independent capabilities which resulted in the liberation of numerous Iraqi cities from the hands of terrorism. Thus the Iraqi fighters must continue their efforts and increase their confidence in their abilities.

Second:

El-Karbala'i warned the Security and media agencies of Iraq from the disinformation and deceitful propaganda by several TV channels, similar to the method adopted by the terrorist group ISIS. Their motive is to introduce fear in the hearts of the civilians as well as seek to lower the confidence of the Iraqi fighters through broadcasting false murder scenes.

However, the current achieved victories by the brave citizens of the Iraq have proven the falsity of such channels.

Hence, the Iraqi government and media corporations must follow a professional approach to disallow the broadcasting of such propaganda and present the true events which occur on the battlefields.
