First Section of Imam Hasan Al-Mujtaba Courtyard Foundation Completed

The Expansion Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the completion of reinforcement and concrete pouring works for the first section of the foundation of the Imam Hasan Al-Mujtaba Courtyard project, covering an area exceeding (2,725) m².

Head of the department, engineer Hussein Reda Mahdi, stated in remarks to the official website that “the reinforcement and concrete pouring works for the first section of the foundation of the Imam Hasan Al-Mujtaba Courtyard project have been successfully completed. The work was carried out through the precise efforts of the staff of the Expansion Projects Department affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, with continuous on-site supervision to ensure the highest levels of quality and technical control, in preparation for moving forward with the next construction phases.”

He explained that “the implementation plan was executed with precision and divided into two consecutive stages to guarantee the highest standards of quality and technical oversight.”

He added that “the first stage included pouring (1,250) m³ of reinforced concrete, followed by the second stage with a volume of (926) m³, completing the pouring process for the total area exceeding (2,725) m².”

He continued that “the work was carried out according to approved engineering specifications, with close field monitoring to regulate the foundation levels, the distribution of reinforcing steel, and the subsequent concrete curing processes, ensuring a solid structural base that prepares the project for the upcoming construction stages.”

With this progress, the Imam Hasan Al-Mujtaba Courtyard project, one of the largest expansion projects of the courtyard of Imam Husayn Shrine, reinforces the vision of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in combining direct fieldwork with high engineering precision. The project reflects the commitment of the technical and engineering teams to implementing expansion works according to the highest standards of quality and safety, while affirming the shrine’s continued service to its visitors.
