The Strategic Projects Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the ongoing progress of paving work on one of the main streets in Al-Binaa Al-Jahiz district of Holy Karbala governorate. Featuring a width of 30 meters, the project forms part of continuous efforts to develop infrastructure and enhance the quality of local services.
In a statement received by the Official Website, the department stated that "the project encompasses the construction of a dual-carriageway road for two-way traffic, as well as the creation of modern water fountains and green spaces planted with trees, helping to impart a civilized and aesthetic character to the area."
The statement added that "the project's work is being executed in line with approved architectural requirements and an advanced structural design, alongside laying sub-base layers according to technical specifications and pouring a 25 cm thick concrete layer beneath the asphalt layers to guarantee the road's durability and sustainability."
It further explained that "the project falls within the plans of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine aimed at contributing to the infrastructure development of the Holy City of Karbala and upgrading its urban landscape, serving citizens and facilitating smooth transportation within the beneficiary areas."
