For the eighth year in a row, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has continued its Qur’anic activities in Nineveh Governorate through the Al-Sadiq Al-Ameen Qur’anic Association, which operates under the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Division in Mosul, one of the divisions of the Religious Affairs Department.
The district of Tal Afar witnessed the organization of a series of Ramadan Qur’anic recitation sessions held across several mosques and Hussainiyas, including Imam Al-Hakim Mosque, the Hussainiya of the Two Imams Al-Askari (peace be upon them), Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque (peace be upon him), Abdullah Al-Radhee Hussainiya, Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba Hussainiya, and Al-Zahra Hussainiya, in addition to other locations within the district. These gatherings took place in a spiritual atmosphere imbued with the essence of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Speaking to the official website, the head of the division, Sheikh Khalil Al-Ulayawi, stated that “the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Division in Mosul affiliated with the Religious Affairs Department, is keen to organize Qur’anic recitation sessions and awareness programs that contribute to strengthening the culture of the Holy Qur’an and enhancing its presence in the life of the community.”
He added that “these activities aim to deepen the connection with the Book of Almighty God and revive the religious atmosphere during the blessed month of Ramadan,” noting that “Qur’anic gatherings provide a valuable opportunity for believers to participate in reciting the Holy Qur’an and reflecting upon its meanings, thereby reinforcing spiritual values and strengthening social cohesion among the people of the region.”
These initiatives form part of a broader series of Qur’anic and missionary programs implemented by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine across various governorates, reaffirming its religious and cultural mission to disseminate the sciences of the Holy Qur’an and consolidate its principles within society.
