The Intellectual and Cultural Activities Division in Mosul, affiliated with the Religious Affairs Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, held a ceremony marking the birth anniversary of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The religious event was organized in cooperation with Al-Sibtain Mosque and was attended by a notable gathering of scholars, speakers, and devotees.
Sheikh Khalil Al-Ulyawi, head of the division, stated that “this gathering is held to revive a great occasion that serves as a beacon for all generations, the birth anniversary of Lady al-Zahra (peace be upon her).”
Al-Ulyawi, who opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks, explained that “the program highlighted the noble biography and elevated status of Lady al-Zahra (peace be upon her), emphasizing the importance of following her righteous path as the finest example for Muslim women, especially regarding her well-established experiences of injustice.”
He noted that “the ceremony included a series of religious and oratory activities. Sayyid Jameel Al-Husseini delivered the main address, which focused on the lofty rank and remarkable virtues of Lady al-Zahra,” stressing “the significance of adhering to her guardianship as a way of life.”
The event also featured “a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an and several poems and chants expressing love and devotion to the Pure Lady.” Al-Ulyawi added that the ceremony concluded with final remarks and the recitation of Dua Al-Faraj by Sayyid Mohammed Al-Babwati.
