Al-Abbas Holy Shrine Prepares Facilities for Mid-Sha‘ban Pilgrims

The Service Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine has prepared the shrine’s basements to receive pilgrims arriving from inside and outside Iraq to visit the shrines of Imam Hussain and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) during the blessed Mid-Sha‘ban pilgrimage.

The deputy head of the department, Sayyid Abbas Ali Abu al-Awf, told the official website that “the department’s staff have equipped the basements of the Holy Shrine with all necessary comfort facilities to receive pilgrims participating in commemorating the night of mid Sha‘ban, marking the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance).”

He added that “the basements have been supplied with copies of the Holy Qur’an, prayer tablets, supplication books, and the special visitation texts to facilitate female pilgrims in performing the pilgrimage rituals, in addition to providing all services that ensure the visit is carried out smoothly and efficiently.”

He explained that “the department’s staff are working to deliver the best logistical services to guarantee the smooth movement of female pilgrims, while enhancing comfort measures and cleanliness in the areas designated for them.”
