The Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has launched a specialized drawing course for girls aimed at enhancing their artistic and creative skills.
Mr. Ali Zaki Al-Tamimi, Head of the Department, said that “this course is part of the department’s art programs designed to develop the creative talents of girls interested in fine arts and to refine their skills in ink drawing, one of the most significant forms of visual expression that blends precision, beauty, and imagination.”
He explained that “the six-day course, held every Friday and Saturday, features practical workshops on ink drawing techniques, as well as hands-on lessons in visual composition, lighting and shading, and spatial design. These sessions allow participants to produce complete works that express their individual artistic vision.”
Al-Tamimi emphasized that “this initiative reflects the department’s and the Holy Shrine’s dedication to promoting art and creativity, empowering young female talents to nurture their artistic potential in an educational environment that fosters innovation and aesthetic awareness. Such efforts contribute to enriching the artistic landscape of Karbala and Iraq as a whole.”
