Sheikh Al-Karbala’i Meets Quran Memorizers, Urges Them to Be Role Models in Their Universities and Communities

The Legal Custodian of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbala’i, met with a group of Quran memorizers participating in the international preaching tour organized by the International Quranic Preaching Center affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine. The meeting took place at the conclusion of their tour held in several Iranian cities.

The tour included the organization of international Quranic gatherings at the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (peace be upon him) in the holy city of Mashhad and the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatima Al-Ma’souma (peace be upon her) in Qom, in addition to other Quranic activities across various Iranian cities, with the participation of a group of talented memorizers.

The Director of the International Quranic Preaching Center, Mr. Muntazar Al-Mansouri, stated that “this tour is a continuation of the Quranic projects launched by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine more than twenty years ago, aiming to prepare a conscious generation of Quranic youth who contribute to spreading the culture of the Holy Quran across different countries of the world.”

He added that “the number of participants in this tour reached fifteen Quran memorizers with exceptional talents, most of whom were university students from various academic fields, including medicine, engineering, and education.”

In his address during the meeting, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbala’i urged the Quran memorizers to continue their academic and scientific pursuits while adhering to the Quranic path. He emphasized the importance of being exemplary figures within their universities and communities, reflecting the image of a Quranic student committed to high morals and ethical conduct.

He also stressed the necessity of applying the teachings of the Holy Quran in daily life, making its values and principles a practical constitution reflected in dealings, knowledge, and service to others. He noted that “the Quran is not merely for memorization and recitation but represents a comprehensive way of life that guides human beings toward perfection and reform.”

The meeting concluded with Sheikh Al-Karbala’i offering prayers for the participants’ success and guidance in their educational and Quranic endeavors, reaffirming the continued support of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine for all initiatives aimed at promoting the culture of the Holy Quran both inside and outside Iraq.
