Under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Al-Askari Holy Shrine, and in the presence of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Radhi Hussein Al-Mosuli, the Shrine organized a blessed international Quranic gathering in cooperation with the residents of Sharkhan Al-Ulya in the province of Mosul.
The event, held under the slogan “The Two Askari Imams and the Quran… Light and Guidance,” featured participation from an elite group of reciters and memorizers of the Holy Quran and was attended by a large number of local residents and believers.
According to the Shrine’s official website, “Attendees listened to soulful recitations of the Holy Quran presented by a distinguished group of reciters, led by Saeed Tusi, the reciter of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza, as well as Hassan Rashid, the reciter of the Al-Askari Holy Shrine, and Fares Hassan Al-Hamdani. Their recitations created a deeply spiritual atmosphere filled with reverence and faith.”
The website added that “this event comes as part of a series of Quranic gatherings sponsored by the General Secretariat of the Al-Askari Holy Shrine across various Iraqi provinces, reflecting its mission to promote the culture of the Holy Quran, reinforce the path of the Two Weighty Things (Thaqalayn) in society, and revive the leading role of the holy shrines in strengthening faith and spiritual values.”
