The Exhibitions Division of the Media Department at the Holy Shrine announced its participation in two specialized sections in the 34th version of the Tehran International Book Fair.
The division's official, Ali Mamitha al-Moussawi, said in an interview, "The Holy Shrine is participating through this book fair in two sections, the 1st in the Arab hall zone which displays the Shrine's departments publications, while the 2nd in the Persian Hall."
Mamitha added, "Under the guidance of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, his eminence directed to hold various cultural competitions during the exhibition."
He noted, "The competitions are held daily with awarding prizes to the winners which include souvenirs (Tabreekat) from the Shrine, while another competition includes fully paid travelling to Iraq - Karbala' to visit Imam Hussain (by the Shrine) and the winners' names will be announced through drawing lots, at the end of the exhibition."
He concluded, " The exhibition is considered one of the largest in Iran, as it attracts one million visitors annually, with the participation of many Iranian, Arabian, and international publishing houses."
It is stated that the Tehran International Book Fair, in its 34th edition, will be held from May 10 to May 20, 2023.
