The Health care and Medical Education Authority affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced that Karbala has all the makings that make it the regional medical capital.
The head of the commission, Dr. Sattar Al-Saed, said in an interview with the official website, "The representative of the supreme religious authority of the imam Hussain shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, always recommends that Karbala must be a medical capital, And we're trying hard to do that, as long as it is possibly achievable.
He explained that "the Imam Hussain shrine always seeks to achieve integration in the medical fields"
It is stated that the Hussain shrine announced earlier that it had spent more than (56) billion IQD on medical services for patients.
