Mayor of Cologne, Germany sends letter of appreciation to Imam Hussein Holy Shrine

 

The mayor of the city of Cologne - Germany, Henriette Reker has sent a letter of appreciation to the museum of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in appreciation of its recent participation in an international exhibition held in the museum of Cologne city, entitled: "Pilgrimage All Over The World."

 

During the participation, the museum of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine displayed a replica of the lattice-enclsed tomb of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), which a great deal of visitors of different religions and nationalities visited.

 

In the letter, Reker expressed her appreciation and gratitude to Imam Hssein Museum for the remarkable participation, which also included an explanatory photo gallery of the holy city of Kerbela.

Elaa Dheya Ed-Deen, director of Imam Hussein Museum, said that thousands of visitors who were from different countries, subscribed to different religions visited Imam Hussein Holy Shrine stand, where they listened to the stry of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) via MP3 devices, and 5000 of the visitors asked wrote down their wishes in pieces of paper and requested to have those pieces of paper to be placed inside the actual lattice-enclosed tomb.

 

Cologne is one the cities deemed holy in Germany, for it has the Dom Cologne Cathedral, which was built over graves of Iraqi kings who moved from the Eastern side of Euphrates to Jueruslim, seeking Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him); the kings died there, and then were taken to Roma and then to Cologne.
