The Processions and Hussaini Rituals Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the registration of more than (13,500) processions from across Iraq, as well as from Arab, Islamic, and foreign countries, to participate in providing services and holding mourning ceremonies during this year's Arbaeen pilgrimage.
Speaking to the official website, the Head of the Department, Mohammed Karim Aziz, said, "The Processions and Hussaini Rituals Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has so far registered more than (13,500) processions from various Iraqi provinces, in addition to Arab, Islamic, and foreign countries, to participate in providing services and mourning ceremonies during this year's Arbaeen pilgrimage." He noted that "the total number is expected to exceed (16) thousand, as there are still processions that have not yet been registered."
He explained that "the department has issued the schedule for the entry of mourning processions in accordance with an organizational mechanism prepared by the Central Committee, which includes the Imam Hussain and Al-Abbas Holy Shrines, along with the relevant government authorities." He pointed out that "the schedule has been organized by province and country to ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims and processions within the Holy Hussaini Shrine and the area between the two Holy Shrines."
He affirmed that "the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has stressed the importance of procession organizers adhering to the issued regulations, including vehicle specifications, loudspeaker size limits, and designated entry routes, to ensure that processions enter through the assigned gates while maintaining the highest levels of organization and precision."
He added that "the objective of these measures is to present the true image of the Hussaini mourning ceremonies to the world, reflecting the high level of organization and strong commitment that characterize these rituals."
As part of these organizational efforts, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues its preparations to provide the best possible conditions for receiving service and mourning processions, ensuring the smooth flow of movement, preserving the sanctity of the rituals, and presenting the Arbaeen pilgrimage to the world in a civilized and organized manner.
