Imam Zain Al-Abidin (peace be upon him) Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced the success of its specialized medical teams in performing (200) kidney transplant surgeries, as part of its ongoing efforts to provide advanced medical and therapeutic services to patients.
The hospital stated in an announcement obtained by the Official Website that "the kidney transplant operations were carried out through the efforts of specialized medical and nursing staff, relying on the latest medical technologies, which contributed to enhancing the center's position as one of the advanced centers in the field of kidney transplantation across Iraq."
It added that "the center receives continuous support from the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai," noting that "performing (200) kidney transplant operations contributed to restoring hope to the lives of many patients by offering treatment at costs supported by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine."
It continued that "the surgeries encompassed various medical cases, including patients suffering from kidney failure and complex health conditions," confirming that "the hospital provided patients who require kidney transplant operations and specialized treatments with an opportunity to receive treatment inside Iraq."
It further pointed out that "the medical teams also handled cases of patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder by conducting the necessary examinations and establishing appropriate mechanisms to deal with them prior to the operations, ensuring the delivery of medical care according to the needs of each case."
These achievements come as part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's efforts to support the health sector and provide medical and therapeutic services to citizens, whether free of charge or at subsidized prices, contributing to alleviating the burden on kidney failure patients, providing treatment opportunities inside Iraq, and reducing the need to travel and incur additional financial burdens.
