It has been 1,400 years since Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him) set Kufa as the Capital of the Islamic Government during his period as an Islamic Caliph (Leader/Successor).
The Secretariat-General of the Kufa Great Mosque celebrated this event with the participation of the Secretaries-General of the Imam Hussein, El-Abbas, and Imam Ali Holy Shrines.
Sayyed Ala' Ed-Deen El-Mousawi, President of the Shia Endowment Bureau also attended the event along with Sayyed Salah El-Haidari, former Bureau President, in addition to numerous officials from other Holy Shrines in Iraq.
Sayyed Moussa Taqi El-Khalili, Secretary-General of the Mosque stated, during his speech, the significance behind this occasion that increased the positive influence of Islam on the world.
