He explained that "this visit comes within the framework of strengthening joint academic cooperation and elevating the information infrastructure of educational institutions, where discussions were held with the Dean of the College, Dr. Ali Dharib Shaaban, regarding mechanisms to support the research and cultural environment and broaden knowledge exchange between both sides, in addition to presenting a valuable collection of the department's scientific and intellectual publications as a gift to the college deanship."
He added that "the visit included an inspection tour of the college library's corridors to observe the state of its services, resources, and approved cataloging mechanisms, with the aim of supporting researchers and students and facilitating their access to the latest information sources, as the delegation provided the college with the databases and contents of the digital library available via the Telegram platform, alongside supplying it with a wide package of specialized references and sources via the medical library link."
He further noted that "coordination is currently underway to host the college's technical and library staff in the Holy Province of Karbala to participate in advanced specialized training workshops and programs in library management and development, with a focus on practical training on the open-source global library management system (Koha)."
