Technical crews from the Maintenance Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine have completed the maintenance and rehabilitation of more than 400 school desks across two primary schools: Al-Mukhayam Primary School for Boys in central Holy Karbala, and Al-Shurooq Primary School in the Al-Jadwal Al-Gharbi (Tuwairij) district. The initiative was carried out under the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, to support educational institutions and improve the learning environment.

Speaking to the official website, the Head of the Maintenance Department, Engineer Abdul Hassan Muhammad, stated that "the department's personnel executed the work with high levels of precision and craftsmanship, leveraging specialized technical expertise to ensure work quality and serve both students and teaching staff."

He explained that "the tasks involved repairing damaged desks, replacing worn-out parts, and refurbishing them, in addition to manufacturing new single and double desks according to the required specifications, thereby providing a safe and suitable learning environment for students."

He added that "the work came in response to requests from school administrations, reflecting the approach of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in supporting the educational process and serving the community," noting that "the department continues to execute rehabilitation and maintenance programs for a number of schools and educational institutions in Holy Karbala."

These efforts fall within the framework of service initiatives implemented by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to support the educational sector and enhance the learning environment across the governorate.
