Al-Mujtaba Hospital for Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the total volume of medical services provided since its opening in 2022 through the end of August 2026, comprising thousands of specialized therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Dr. Muayyad Al-Janabi, Director of the Hospital, stated in an interview with the Official Website that "the hospital continues to offer specialized medical services to hematology and bone marrow transplant patients, as part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's ongoing efforts to deliver advanced healthcare to patients coming from various governorates."
He explained that "official statistics recorded from the hospital's opening in 2022 until the end of August 2026 indicate the completion of 34,878 chemotherapy sessions, along with more than 400 bone marrow transplant procedures."
He added that "the total number of registered hematology patients reached 15,598, while the number of completed laboratory tests exceeded 482,878."
Dr. Al-Janabi further noted that "the hospital operates with a capacity of 33 beds dedicated to delivering therapeutic care and specialized medical attention in accordance with approved clinical disciplines."
These figures reflect the ongoing medical services provided by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine through its healthcare institutions, aiming to make specialized treatment for blood disorders, bone marrow transplantation, and advanced therapies available locally within Iraq.
