Safeer Al-Imam Hussain Surgical Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the total volume of medical and health services provided by its teams to citizens in the districts of Sinjar and Al-Ba'aj within Nineveh Governorate. This initiative took place as part of its 25th medical and health campaign, aimed at offering healthcare services to residents across various regions.
The Administrative Director of the hospital, Engineer Abbas Abd Ali, stated in an interview with the official website: "The medical and healthcare personnel participating in the campaign provided specialized services in Sinjar district, including conducting medical examinations and consultations for approximately (500) cases. Meanwhile, (85) cases were diagnosed and referred to Safeer Al-Imam Hussain Surgical Hospital in Karbala to undergo necessary surgical operations."
He added: "The campaign similarly covered Al-Ba'aj district, where the number of cases benefiting from the provided medical services reached around (1,000). Among those, (170) cases were diagnosed and referred for necessary surgical operations and medical interventions."
He further explained: "These services are part of the hospital's program aimed at reaching citizens in regions requiring specialized medical services, offering medical check-ups and consultations, as well as diagnosing conditions that demand surgical intervention or specialized follow-up."
He pointed out that "cases diagnosed as requiring surgical procedures will be transferred to the headquarters of Safeer Al-Imam Hussain Surgical Hospital in Karbala city, where they will undergo the required medical protocols and surgical operations as determined by the specialized medical team, complete with post-operative care and follow-up."
He concluded that "the campaign serves as a continuation of the medical programs implemented by the hospital across several governorates and regions, with the goal of easing travel burdens and treatment expenses for citizens, particularly for cases that require surgical procedures or specialized medical services."
