The management of Sayyid al-Awsiya (peace be upon him) Modern City for Pilgrims, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the scale of services provided to visitors during the Arbaeen pilgrimage along the Holy Karbala–Baghdad axis.
The city’s media official, Ali Al-Husseini, stated in an interview with the official site: "The total number of visitors arriving at Sayyid al-Awsiya (peace be upon him) Modern City this year exceeded 1 million pilgrims for the period extending from the 10th to the 20th of the month of Safar."
He explained that "on the service front, over 230,000 meals were provided to pilgrims, distributed across three daily meal times over a 10-day period. Meanwhile, the medical side recorded therapeutic and health services delivered to more than 130,000 pilgrims, in joint cooperation and coordination with the Baghdad/Al-Rusafa Health Directorate."
Al-Husseini added that "cultural and developmental activities also saw high turnout, with statistics showing that more than 400,000 pilgrims benefited from the cultural and developmental programs and services offered, which were carried out in collaboration with departments of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and the Al-Qabas Foundation for Culture and Development."
These efforts reflect the continuous commitment of the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine—through Sayyid al-Awsiya Modern City for Pilgrims—to deliver high-quality, comprehensive services and upgrade them annually to serve the pilgrims of Hussain (peace be upon him) traveling along the Karbala–Baghdad route throughout the days of the blessed Arbaeen pilgrimage.
