The Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the volume of services delivered under its operational strategy for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
The head of the department, Muhammad Al-Nasrawi, stated in an interview with the official website that the Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine disclosed the scope of services provided as part of its dedicated strategy for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), noting that the total number of beneficiaries across its diverse programs and activities reached 795,932 individuals.
He clarified that the department implemented a wide bundle of service, awareness, guidance, and cultural initiatives aimed at pilgrims of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) along various routes, in line with the directives of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to provide the highest quality of service to visitors.
He added that the pilgrim guide service ranked highest in terms of audience reach, benefiting 607,063 visitors, while 68,256 pilgrims took part in religious, intellectual, and cultural competitions and stations.
He continued stating that the first aid service assisted 11,892 pilgrims, whereas 15,179 individuals benefited from the identification wristband station, 15,546 received cards featuring sayings of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), and the Developmental Hussaini Children's Art Studio attracted 15,200 beneficiaries.
He pointed out that the Arbaeen Competition and Path of Wisdom station served 11,592 participants, while 11,213 individuals took part in the "Message to the Master of the Time (may Allah hasten his noble reappearance)" program. Additionally, 9,109 pilgrims utilized the Quranic recitation correction stations, 8,427 benefited from the "Tears of Arbaeen" initiative, 8,233 received support through water and food distribution campaigns, and 7,328 attended the Arbaeen Cinema station.
He further noted that the department offered varied provisions including free haircutting services for 1,015 visitors and legal consultation services serving 5,879 individuals, alongside maintaining operational assistance through the service regiment at the Pilgrims' City in Najaf, forming an integrated framework to serve Arbaeen pilgrims.
These endeavors fall within the mission of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to combine humanitarian, cultural, and awareness-raising services, thereby contributing to the success of the Arbaeen pilgrimage and providing pilgrims with optimal comfort and care.
