Imam Hussein Holy Shrine Continues Providing Services to Arbaeen Pilgrims Through a Comprehensive Fleet of Service and Transport Vehicles

The Vehicles Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the continuation of its service operations for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) through the deployment of a comprehensive fleet of service and transport vehicles. The initiative is being carried out in accordance with the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, and under the supervision of the Secretary-General, Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayji, with the aim of delivering the highest level of services to the millions of pilgrims arriving in the holy city of Karbala.

Speaking to the official website, Head of the Vehicles Department, Engineer Ali Fouad Mohammed, said, "The Vehicles Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to provide services for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) through the deployment of a comprehensive fleet of service and transport vehicles, in accordance with the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, and under the supervision of the Secretary-General, Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayji, with the aim of delivering the highest level of services to the millions of pilgrims arriving in the holy city of Karbala."

He explained that "the preparations included equipping internal transport vehicles that will transport pilgrims along the main routes within Karbala city, starting from Al-Tarbiyah roundabout to the road closure areas, Al-Dhareeba Overpass, Sayyid Jawda, Al-Muhafadha roundabout, Mohammed Al-Amin Street, and the Al-Qazwiniyah area, contributing to the smooth movement of pilgrims throughout the days of the pilgrimage."

He added that "the department has also prepared an external transport fleet that will begin reverse transportation operations for pilgrims starting on the (15th) of Safar, heading toward the Zurbatiyah Border Crossing and passing through several governorates to facilitate the pilgrims' return following the conclusion of the pilgrimage rituals."

He noted that "the plan also included preparing service vehicles, including cargo trucks and ambulances designated to transport emergency cases within the Old City, in addition to waste compactor vehicles and a large number of potable water tankers, ensuring the continuity of services provided to pilgrims."

He further stated that "the department has also completed the preparation of a number of refrigerated trucks designated to transport ice from Iraqi governorates to the holy city of Karbala in support of the mourning processions and service entities serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him)."

Imam Hussein Holy Shrine continues implementing its comprehensive plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) by mobilizing all of its service, medical, engineering, organizational, and media departments and institutions, while deploying its human and logistical resources across the various routes leading to the holy city of Karbala and the border crossings. The objective is to provide the best possible services to pilgrims arriving from within Iraq and abroad, contributing to the smooth performance of the pilgrimage rituals and the commemoration of this million-strong occasion in a safe and well-organized environment.
