Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Announces Organizational Plan and Entry Routes for Tuwairij Run Procession

The Order Maintenance Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the details of its organizational and security plan for the Tuwairij Run mourning procession, including designated routes for visitors and mourners to ensure the smooth conduct of the ritual and the safety of participants.

Speaking to the official website, the head of the Order Maintenance Department, Engineer Rasool Abbas Fadhala, said that "the Order Maintenance Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the details of its organizational and security plan for the Tuwairij Run mourning procession, including designated routes for the movement of visitors and mourners, ensuring the smooth performance of the ritual and the safety of participants."

He explained that "the procession will begin from Qantrat Al-Salam and proceed through the main Al-Qibla Street, in coordination with security agencies and the departments of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to organize entry lines and designated routes for mourners."

He added that "the routes allocated for entry into the procession have been limited to (3) main routes: Bab Al-Raja, Al-Qibla Route, and Bab Al-Zainabiya Route, contributing to the organization of visitor movement and facilitating smooth access to the Holy Husayni Shrine."

He noted that "the organizational plan has taken into consideration all weather and physical conditions affecting visitors, particularly high temperatures, the long distance of the run, and the heat of the ground, with the aim of providing the highest levels of safety and service for participants."

The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has also prepared the gates of the holy shrine to receive participants in the Tuwairij Run procession with a high degree of efficiency, allocating three gates for entry and four gates for exit toward the area between the Two Holy Shrines.
