2,400 Cameras and 1,500 Volunteers to Support Muharram Commemorations

The Order Maintenance Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the completion of all logistical, security, and organizational preparations for the ceremony to replace the banner of the dome of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), aimed at ensuring the smooth movement and safety of visitors.

Speaking to the official website, the head of the Order Maintenance Department, Engineer Rasool Abbas Fadhala, said that "under the direction of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, and the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayji, the department has completed all of its organizational and security preparations, with the participation of more than (1500) volunteers supporting the department’s personnel in crowd management and organizing the ceremonies."

He explained that "the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has declared a state of general alert for all personnel of the Order Maintenance Department, which will remain in effect until the conclusion of the blessed ceremonies to ensure full control of the anticipated heavy crowds," noting that "all logistical and organizational support is fully available to serve visitors."

He added that "more than (2400) advanced surveillance cameras are being utilized to help ensure the safety and security of visitors. This system is managed directly from the central operations room, which will oversee all activities as well as organizational, security, and service-related matters in the area."

He pointed out that "there is close cooperation and high-level coordination among all departments of the Holy Shrine to ensure the success of the plan."

He continued that "the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through all of its departments and personnel, and through these early preparations and carefully developed plans, affirms its full readiness to commemorate the sorrowful anniversary of Ashura and to provide a safe and suitable environment for the masses of believers arriving from within Iraq and abroad to renew their allegiance and loyalty to the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him)."
