The Imam Hussain Specialized Medical Complex, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the scale of its medical services delivered during the first quarter of the current year, reflecting the efficiency of its operational plans and the ability of its medical staff to accommodate the growing number of patients.
Director of the complex, Dr. Alaa Abdul Rahman, stated in an interview with the official website that “the Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Specialized Medical Complex provided services to more than (13,621) patient during the first quarter of the current year, across various departments and specialized clinics.”
He explained that “medical clinics and vision examinations recorded the highest demand, receiving more than (8,700) cases, while the emergency unit demonstrated high efficiency in handling (2,201) cases,” noting that “the role was not limited to diagnostics alone, but also extended to specialized interventions through the performance of (14) minor surgical procedures in addition to (8) artificial eye implantation operations.”
He added that “this distinguished outcome further strengthens the range of medical services provided by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine through its healthcare institutions, within a comprehensive vision aimed at developing the healthcare work environment and expanding responsiveness to citizens’ needs, ensuring the delivery of the best medical services in accordance with the highest international standards.”
