As part of its strategy aimed at spreading the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), the African Activities Division, affiliated with the Religious Affairs Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, continues to implement its intensive educational and devotional programs in West African countries.
The head of the African Activities Division, Sheikh Abdul Ghaffar Al-Maliki, said in a statement to the official website that “the African Activities Division, affiliated with the Religious Affairs Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, continues to carry out its intensive educational and devotional programs in West African countries. These programs included the organization of comprehensive academic courses targeting various segments of society, including men, women, and youth, and covered Nigeria, Niger, and Guinea.”
He explained that “the educational tracks focused on doctrinal, jurisprudential, and ethical themes, most notably the fundamentals of religion and monotheism, issues of ijtihad and taqlid, and rulings on purity, in addition to practical lessons for children on how to perform ablution correctly in order to instill religious rulings in them.”
He added that “these activities also included the delivery of sermons and the holding of worship prayers, as well as sessions for teaching the Holy Quran and its interpretation, along with providing guidance that promotes Islamic etiquette and moral values.”
These activities come as part of an ongoing educational series carried out by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine through its Religious Affairs Department, aimed at spreading authentic Islamic culture according to the approach of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and enhancing religious awareness within African communities.
