The Dar al-Qur’an Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the outcomes of its Qur’anic, educational, and cultural work carried out during 2025.
The head of the Media Division, Wissam Nadhir Salem, said in a statement to the official website that “the number of beneficiaries of the services provided by the Dar al-Qur’an Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine reached (405,019) beneficiaries during 2025,” noting that “this figure reflects the scale of effort devoted to serving the Holy Qur’an and spreading its culture among various segments of society.”
He explained that “the activities implemented over the past year included holding (1,163) Qur’anic gatherings inside and outside Iraq, in addition to organizing (48) specialized Qur’anic seminars and (560) Qur’an recitation completions, as well as conducting (21) Qur’anic and artistic workshops and hosting (12) art exhibitions.”
He added that “the department’s activities also included launching (97) Qur’anic stations and carrying out (208) Qur’anic openings for various projects and events, in addition to organizing (14) Qur’anic and artistic competitions that contributed to developing Qur’anic capacities and discovering talents.”
He continued that “the Dar al-Qur’an Department implemented more than (2000) documented activities on the ground, encompassing educational, academic, cultural, and religious programs, within the framework of an institutional vision aimed at consolidating Qur’anic values and strengthening religious and intellectual awareness in society.”
He affirmed that “the department continues to develop its Qur’anic programs and projects in line with the directives of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in serving the Holy Book of God and disseminating its sciences and authentic culture.”
The Dar al-Qur’an Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is considered one of the specialized departments concerned with spreading the culture of the Holy Qur’an, teaching its sciences and interpretation, and reinforcing Qur’anic values in society through diverse educational, pedagogical, and cultural programs. The department plays a central role in holding Qur’anic gatherings, recitation completions, and seminars, organizing competitions, workshops, and exhibitions, as well as supervising Qur’anic projects inside and outside Iraq.
