Imam Hussain Shrine Secretary-General Praises Human Resources Development Efforts

The Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Mr. Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayji, affirmed that the Shrine continues to advance its operations across its departments and formations, in a manner that enhances the level of services provided to visitors and elevates the performance of its human resources. He made these remarks during his speech at the annual honoring ceremony organized by the Human Resources Development Department to celebrate the department’s achievements and honor partners in success for 2025.

The Secretary-General stated that “The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, under the patronage of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, and in line with the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority, has established strategic plans to develop administrative, media, and service performance, while ensuring the utilization of the latest technologies across various fields of work.”

He added that “the Human Resources Development Department has played a prominent role in implementing the Shrine’s plans, contributing to improved performance and the development of staff skills.” He noted that “distinguished personnel are honored annually to motivate them toward innovation and the delivery of the best possible services to visitors, particularly in light of the million-visitor pilgrimages witnessed by the Shrine.”

He continued that “The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine reviews all proposals and mechanisms submitted by its departments through specialized committees to ensure the application of best administrative, financial, and service practices. It remains committed to developing work across its departments and formations, in a way that enhances visitor services and advances the capabilities of its workforce.”

He emphasized that “these efforts form part of a comprehensive strategic vision aimed at positioning the Holy Imam Hussain Shrine among leading institutions at both the local and international levels.”

TheImam Hussain Holy Shrine seeks to develop and strengthen its human resources through developmental and strategic plans that include staff training and periodic performance evaluation, alongside honoring outstanding employees to encourage innovation and advance institutional performance.
