Progress Revealed on Khatam Al-Anbiyaa Cardiac Hospital Project

The Department of Strategic Projects at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has revealed new details regarding the completion percentages of the Khatam Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) Hospital for Cardiovascular Diseases in Karbala, along with its associated facilities. The project is considered one of the largest specialized medical complexes for heart-related conditions in Iraq.

Engineer Maytham Shaker Yasser, the project’s supervising engineer, stated that “work on the project is progressing at a very strong pace, with current completion levels reaching (77)% of the planned total. All structural and civil works have been fully completed at (100)%.”

He added that “the building’s exterior facades have been finalized, while mechanical and electrical works have reached highly advanced stages, up to (98)% of the planned progress. This includes MEV extensions that run above the secondary ceilings, all ductwork, and the pipes for cooling and fire-suppression systems, which have been fully tested, insulated, and completed.”

He continued: “Electrical installations above the secondary ceilings, one of the most important phases of mechanical and electrical implementation, are also at very advanced stages. Additionally, we have completed the secondary ceilings for five floors, from the ninth down to the fourth, at a rate of (90)% of the planned work.”

Yasser noted that “all wall construction and internal partitioning have been completed, and five floors have been fully prepared for the painting phase, which represents the final stage of finishing. Workers began applying the first coat two weeks ago, and wooden furnishing for patient rooms has commenced following the completion of the final paintwork.”

He concluded by confirming that “we will soon begin installing the vinyl flooring for the patient rooms. Corridor flooring will be carried out only after each floor of the building has been fully completed.”
