A delegation from the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine visited Al-Kawthar University of Religious Sciences in Islamabad, Pakistan, as part of the Shrine’s efforts to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation with academic institutions across the Islamic world.
The delegation included Sheikh Ali Al-Qar’awi, Director of the Bayyenah Center for Intellectual and Cultural Security; Mr. Abbas Al-Khafaji, Head of the Media Department; and Mr. Haider Al-Mankoushi, Director of the International Media Center, along with several media professionals from the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the university’s approved academic curricula and discussed with its faculty members prospects for joint cooperation in scientific and religious fields, in a way that contributes to spreading the teachings of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) and reinforcing their humanitarian principles within academic environments.
The delegation also presented the flag of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) to Al-Kawthar University, symbolizing the spiritual and scholarly ties that connect the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine with religious institutions in Pakistan.
For his part, Sheikh Ahmad Hussein Fakhruddin, Head of the Tafsir and Quranic Sciences Department at Al-Kawthar University, expressed his happiness with the visit, affirming that it “represents an important step toward strengthening scientific and cultural relations with the holy shrines in Iraq.”
He extended his gratitude and appreciation to the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbala’i, for his constant care and blessed guidance in supporting the followers of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in Pakistan, as well as his continuous support for scientific and religious institutions there.
