Al-Safeer Surgical Hospital, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), announced that it performed more than 2,029 surgical operations in September 2025, all funded by the shrine.
In a statement to the official website, the hospital’s Administrative Assistant, Engineer Abbas Abdul Ali, said, “During September 2025, Al-Safeer Surgical Hospital conducted over 2,029 surgeries covering all medical specialties available within the hospital.”
He noted that “the operations included several complex and advanced surgical procedures,” emphasizing that “all surgeries were performed free of charge, funded by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), and benefited patients from both Karbala and other provinces.”
Abdul Ali added that the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, places great importance on supporting patients and ensuring the provision of the best possible healthcare services.
He also affirmed that “all operations were carried out by highly skilled medical teams working within the hospital.”
It is worth noting that Al-Safeer Surgical Hospital, located adjacent to the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), operates around the clock. The facility is equipped with modern medical technology, advanced surgical theaters, and a specialized medical staff dedicated to serving patients with excellence and compassion.
