Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Presents Over 450 Publications at Baghdad International Book Fair

The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through its Exhibitions Division, is taking part in the 26th Baghdad International Book Fair, which opened on Wednesday, September 10. The fair brings together more than 220 publishing houses from Iraq, the Arab world, and beyond, and will continue for ten days.

Sayed Ali Mamitha, Head of the Exhibitions Division, stated that “our participation in this major cultural event is part of our continuous presence in both local and international exhibitions. It demonstrates our commitment to promoting a culture of reading and showcasing the Shrine’s most prominent intellectual and cultural contributions across diverse fields.”

He explained that this year’s involvement builds on the Shrine’s previous successes, with a dedicated pavilion displaying a wide selection of publications designed to engage readers of all backgrounds.

“Our presence here continues the achievements of past editions of the fair, which has become one of the main platforms for the Holy Shrine to connect with the public,” he added. “The works on display highlight the breadth of cultural activity and the scientific and intellectual renaissance currently unfolding at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine (peace be upon him).”

Mamitha underscored that all featured titles are original works, authored, edited, and printed entirely by the Holy Shrine. “This year’s collection is distinguished by its variety, modern approach, and depth across cultural, intellectual, and heritage topics, setting our pavilion apart at the exhibition,” he said.
