Voluntary taxi drivers transport pilgrims for free

A group of people of those who adore Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) have established a new type of service they offer pilgrims of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him): they are taxi drivers who use their cars to transport pilgrims from the city of Basrah to the holy city of Kerbela for free.

Ahmed Abduz-Zehreh El-Edani, founder of the service, said they primarily take care of the families who are poor or those who lost their loved ones during the war against ISIS.

He added that they now have 25 cars, and the number is increasing, emphasizing that many people in Basrah encouraged them, and some people joined them to offer other services.

He also said that they have a group of doctors who accompany the convoy to the holy city of Kerbela and return to Basrah when they pilgrims are finished.
