During Eid, Imam Hussein Holy Shrine – in cooperation with Es-Sejjad Charity – has organized a pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) for the families of the martyrs; those who sacrificed themselves for their country (Iraq) by fighting ISIS.
Sayyid Se’ed Ed-Deen El-Benna’, deputy Secretary-General of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, said Imam Hussein Holy Shrine takes care of the families of the martyrs by supporting them and providing for them, so they can feel that they are important, and there is always who looks after them.
He also said that 1000 families partook in the pilgrimage, and if it were not for the sacrifice of those martyrs and their families, making a pilgrimage to Imam Hussein and practicing the rituals would not be possible.
Fadhil El-Husseini, director of Es-Sejjad Charity, said the charity sponsors 400 families and 1200 orphans now.
