The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is constructing the country’s largest cancer treatment center in Karbala.
Supervising Engineer of Khairat al-Sibtayn Company Muhammad Tahir said that the completion rate of this immense project – named Imam Hussain Center for Cancerous Tumors - has reached 60%.
“The hospital, which was designed according to the special European specifications, will be equipped with modern devices using the latest technologies,” added Tahir.
The total project area of Imam Hussain Center for Cancerous Tumors is three hectares, with three buildings:
-The first building measures 4700m2 and includes the following departments: Topical Radiation Therapy, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Operations, Emergency, Pharmacy and Laboratory.
-The second building measures 1450m2 and is specified for the medical staff.
-The third building also measures 1450m2 and is specified for patient accommodation.
The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has built several hospitals and health centers in the holy city of Karbala.
