The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has stated that a memorandum of understanding has been signed with China in terms of building Imam Hussein International Airport in the holy city of Kerbala. It’s been mentioned that the memorandum will be implemented after 60 days as of the date of the signature of the memorandum. Moreover, Chinese sponsoring banks will sponsor %85 of the airport project achievement, and %15 will be sponsored by Chinese companies.
