Es-Safi: Security forces' needs must be offered and the displaced must be relieved

Oct 30, 2015. Second part of the Friday's Sermon held at the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority, and the preacher of the Friday's Sermon in Kerbala, His Eminence sayyid Ahmed Es-Safi mentioned three important issues, saying:

First

The dramatic victories recently achieved by the Iraqi security forces and popular mobilization forces against the terrorist ISIS must be taken care of by the state officials, while they should learn lessons from such victories in order to be well prepared for the next battles. And providing the warriors with their needs along with establishing concrete coordination among the Iraqi troops are fundamental to gaining victory. Therefore, the concerned entities in the government must pay more attention to the security forces and prioritize their needs.

Second

Some of the most important duties that the central government or the local governments are obliged to achieve are exploiting the grace that the Almighty Allah bestows upon our country, and if those governments do not do that, the grace may turn into tribulations. Rain is Allah’s greatest grace, – rain benefits all people, but unfortunately, nowadays, rain caused a lot of damage to people and made them suffer because the governments are not functioning properly and serving the Iraqis by building water disposal systems and they never did when they had all the constituents before.

Third

Since we received a tremendous amount of rain, the suffering of the displaced people has enormously increased in the temporary tents they currently live in in many places in Iraq. Therefore, it is everyone’s responsibility to help them as much as possible. This help is one of the most important humanitarian principles of Islam. Moreover, it returns to the good-deed performer with divine rewards. This bond would also strengthen the national tie if it is truly adopted.
