Millions of pilgrims from inside and outside of Iraq flocked into Kerebala to commemorate the tragic anniversary of Imam Hussein’s (Peace Be Upon Him) martyrdom.
It is worth mentioning that this year witnessed approximately 750,000 pilgrims who came from outside of Iraq and took part in this commemoration, where most of the pilgrims came from different cities of Iraq. Therefore, the total number of pilgrims expected for this year is 5,000,000 pilgrims.
