On the occasion of the anniversary death of Lady Zaineb (Peace Be Upon Him), the holy city of Kerbala has witnessed its mourning day; streets and stores were covered with black cloth, mourning the tragic anniversary death of Lady Zaineb, the daughter of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Them).
Signs were hung in the walls of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine showing some adages of Lady Zaineb (Peace Be Upon Her), and sayings on how steadfast she remained at the Al-Taf fierce battle. In addition, many pulpits were placed in the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, where ceremonies and religious lectures are usually held, in order to receive the mourning processions.
