Es-Safi: Government Must Find Rapid Solutions For Security Issues

Apr 24, 2015. Second part of the Friday Sermon held in the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and the preacher of the Friday Sermon in Kerbala city, His Eminence Sayyed Ahmed Es-Safi mentioned two important points:

First:

The security situation of Iraq is witnessing serious challenges which require precise attention from government politicians to benefit from the efforts of the Military Forces, volunteers, and tribal members who dedicated their valuable lives for the sake of their country and fellow citizens.

Additionally, the Iraqi politicians must unite their decisions and energies as well as overlook the political and economic conflicts which delay the development of this great nation.

Moreover, the recent security conflicts have resulted in the displacement of thousands of families and the declining of the country's wealth.

For this reason, the government must find solutions for the issues that complicate the security, political, and economic situation of the country.

Second:

It is significant to review and analyze the local and global interferences in terms of:

1) Were the interventions beneficial for the country?

2) Did the interventions serve a personal agenda or a particular group?

3) What was the purpose behind these interventions?

When this is done, government officials must allow the positive interventions and disallow/punish the individuals or groups for any negative interference.

On the other hand, we strongly believe in the abilities of the Iraqi government officials and the courageous Iraqi forces to overcome the current difficulties. This strong belief emanates from the honorable history of this great nation; and the present victories are clear evidence that people of Iraq are capable of eliminating the threat of terrorism and extremism.

However, there are several corrupt groups and countries who seek to differentiate between the people of this country by raising sectarian tensions.

There motive is to weaken the confidence of the Iraqi fighters and introduce fear in the hearts of the civilians.

Hence, the government must disallow such actions and find rapid solutions to overcome the security issues of this country.
