The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine announced that the First Global Conference on Quran was delayed until further notice. The delay was made as a sign of condemning the recent heinous acts of the ISIS terrorist groups; those who claim to represent Islam and raise slogans in the name of Islam, while they are committing the cruelest crimes in the world. The preparatory committee of the conference stated that they would resume the preparations to hold the conference once the recent crisis is over. The preparatory committee has recently received 200 researches from researchers and scientists, from inside and outside of Iraq; in order to partake in the conference, as well as clerics of different religions and denominations.
