Karbala Center for Studies and Research at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Publishes an Encyclopedia Documenting 2009 Political Friday Sermons in Iraq

The Karbala Center for Studies and Research at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has released the Encyclopedia of Political Friday Sermons for the year 2009, containing the full texts of the sermons delivered from the pulpit of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain.

The Director of the Center, Mr. Abdul-Amir Al-Quraishi, stated in an interview with the Official Site: "The Karbala Center for Studies and Research at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has published the Encyclopedia of Political Friday Sermons for 2009 in a documentary release spanning 515 pages. It features the complete texts of the sermons delivered from the pulpit of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, aiming to document the most prominent political and social positions and issues witnessed in Iraq during that period."

He explained that "the publication highlights the positions of the Supreme Religious Authority regarding the challenges faced by Iraqi society, its role in guiding public opinion, and its efforts to promote national awareness and responsibility. Furthermore, it addresses topics such as state institution-building, anti-corruption efforts, the improvement of public services, countering terrorism, and fostering national unity and peaceful coexistence."

He added that "this work comes as part of a series of publications designed to enrich the scientific library with documentary sources, making the content of religious discourse and its engagement with public affairs accessible to researchers and scholars, thereby contributing to preserving historical memory and supporting academic research paths across political, social, and intellectual fields."

It is worth noting that the Karbala Center for Studies and Research, affiliated with Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, continues to execute its historical and research projects dedicated to documenting successive eras in Iraq's history, preserving intellectual heritage, and providing scientific reference materials for researchers and scholars.
