Under the title of (illuminations of Imam Hussein's revolution in our academic organizations), and among a great crowd of Basrah university students, teachers, scholars, scientists and politicians; Imam Hussein second annual scientific conference has been inaugurated in Basrah university in cooperation with the Secretariat-General of the Imam Hussein holy shrine. The conference began with reciting some verses of Noble Quran followed by a speech by the sponsor of the conference Dr. Thamir Ahmed Hamdan, the president of the university. A speech of the Imam Hussein and EL-Abbas holy shrines delivered by Shaikh Mustafa EL-Amily in which he mentioned, "Today; we have gathered here in such a blessing conference which is held under the title of (illuminations of Imam Hussein's revolution in our academic organizations) in order to say that at this conference; we should think, search and seriously study what the characteristics of commemorating Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h) are. We can easily notice that it's always being renewed, and if we realize the way to Kerbala which is such a way to paradise; we would notice that there is an enormous number of people walking to Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h) carrying banners written on them (O Hussein) in order to say (here we are Sir Hussein), while they are easily exposed to any terrorist attack. As we once asked a little local national injured in an explosion in EL-Battha' last year about walking to Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h); he said, "once I'm recovered; I'll go to Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h) on foot in order to say (here I am Sir Hussein) again". It is true that sentiment has a great role in the story of Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h). But what more important than that is thinking. Thinking might create a question asks us that although 1373 years past since EL-Taf fierce battle took place in Kerbala; but we realize that every piece of land resembles Kerbala and every day symbolizes the day of Ashura. So, as long as time passes this remembrance is constantly increased with brilliance and regeneration. We should now shed light upon those Husseinian immortal secrets, just like the light is distinctly useful in which the sun is sacrificing itself for all creatures. So the illuminations of Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h) enlightening all the aspects, kinds, dimensions and details of life, and not only the followers of Ahlulbait (p.b.u.t); because Imam Hussein primarily came up with a humanitarian revolution". As continuing delivering speeches, Mr. Sabah EL-Bezony, the chairman of the governorate council of Basrah city delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participating quests. Also, several speeches delivered by some quest such as Dr. Saad Metty Butros, then a speech of the association of Sunni scholars in Iraq by Shaikh Mohammed Balasim, and a poem recited by Dr. Ameen Abdul Jabar EL-Silmy. The first part of the activities finished with a play entitled (Martyrdom) which dealt with glimpses of EL-Taf fierce battle. The second part began with heading the quests to inaugurating the photographs fair of the Imam Hussein and EL-Abbas holy shrines which had been held on the sidelines of the conference. The guests also participated in the activities of the first scientific session at Bait EL-Hikmah auditorium, then the first day finished with a Quranic session. By: Mohammed Jassim
