The Quran House at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine concluded the activities of the second season of the National Buds Project—one of its key Quranic initiatives aimed at nurturing Quranic talents among young children and developing their recitation and performance skills—on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Wisam Nadhir Al-Delfi, head of the Quranic Media Center, stated: "The closing ceremony was held at Sayyid Al-Awsiya (peace be upon him) Visitors' City. It began with a blessed Quranic recitation delivered by the young reciter Abbas Yasser Karim, followed by a speech from the Head of the Quran House Department, Sheikh Dr. Khair Al-Din Ali Al-Hadi."
Al-Delfi explained that "in his address, Sheikh Al-Hadi expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Legal Guardian of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, for his sponsorship and support of the project. He highlighted the significance of the National Buds Project in Iraq and its role in preparing a Quranic generation equipped with skills in memorization, recitation, and performance."
He added that "the ceremony program continued with a collective recitation by students from the Sheikh Ismail School, followed by another group recitation by students from the Sheikh Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi School. The events concluded with the honoring of the National Buds Project students and the cadres who contributed to the project's success."
