The Religious Preaching Division, affiliated with the Religious Affairs Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, is continuing its preaching and guidance programs inside the Al-Rusafa Sixth Women’s Prison in the capital, Baghdad, by providing the facility with a number of specialized female preachers to conduct religious, cultural, and reformative initiatives.
The department stated in a press release obtained by the Official Website that "these programs come as part of its efforts aimed at enhancing the religious and educational development of the inmates, as well as providing an environment conducive to reform and personal growth by delivering religious and cultural guidance addressing various moral and social topics."
It added that "the programs feature religious, cultural, and counseling lectures, alongside courses in teaching the Holy Quran and discussing purposeful topics that contribute to strengthening religious and moral awareness among the inmates."
It explained that "supplying the prison with specialized female preachers aims to maintain these preaching initiatives on a regular basis, giving inmates the opportunity to benefit from religious and educational activities that support reformative and educational efforts within the institution."
It pointed out that "the Religious Preaching Division continues to execute its programs across various institutions and locations, stemming from its responsibility to spread religious and cultural awareness, promote moral and social values, and contribute to building a cohesive society."
