With the Participation of Its Specialized Departments: Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Showcases Products at the 17th Food Industries and Packaging Exhibition

Head of the Agricultural Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Eng. Razzaq Al-Taie, stated in an interview with the Official Website that "the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is participating in the activities of the 17th Food Industries and Packaging Exhibition held at the Baghdad International Fair by displaying its agricultural products, such as various types of vegetables grown on the Shrine's farms, dates produced by the Fadak Date Palm Farm, as well as products from the Ornamental and Afforestation Department, alongside showcasing the achievements realized in the Green Belt Project."

He explained that "all projects of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, especially agricultural ones, aim to support the food basket of Iraqi citizens and contribute to achieving food security."

He added that "the products of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine are among the highest quality, as they rely on organic fertilizers rather than chemical ones, in addition to employing modern irrigation technologies."

For his part, Media Director of the Fadak Date Palm Farm, Muhammad Abu Al-Maali, stated that "the participation of the Fadak Date Palm Farm comes through displaying the finest varieties of Iraqi and Arab dates produced by the farm."

He added that "the pavilion of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine featured a display of diverse date varieties cultivated inside the farm."

He continued that "the fundamental goal of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is to restore Iraq to its pioneering global position regarding the number of date palm trees and the quality of their yield."

It is worth noting that the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has been working for years on executing a strategic plan aimed at supporting the food basket, supplying the local market with livestock and agricultural products, reducing reliance on imports, and actively contributing to achieving food security.
