The Human Resources Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced that over 71,000 visitors benefited from the awareness and religious activities provided by the Cultural Visitor Station during the blessed Arbaeen pilgrimage of 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to elevate the cultural and intellectual experience of the honored pilgrims.
Speaking to the official website, the head of the department, Mr. Mohammed Al-Kinani, stated that "the Human Resources Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced that over 71,000 visitors benefited from the awareness and religious activities offered by the Cultural Visitor Station during the days of the blessed Arbaeen pilgrimage for the year 2026, within its continuous endeavor to enhance the cultural and intellectual aspect of the noble visitors."
He explained that the Cultural Visitor Station, affiliated with the Human Resources Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, witnessed widespread turnout from large numbers of participants in the Arbaeen walk, bringing the total number of beneficiaries across various offered programs to 71,339 visitors.
He added that the statistics showed the "Khatwa wa Athar" (A Step and an Impact) activity topping the list of cultural activities with 18,758 beneficiaries. This was followed by the "Al-Basma Al-Hussainiya" (The Hussaini Imprint) activity with a total of 11,008 beneficiaries, while the "Rasa'il Al-Ashiqeen" (Messages of the Lovers) segment engaged 9,306 participants, alongside 6,857 visitors participating in the "Arbaeen Competition."
He further noted that the station worked to diversify its cultural and religious presentation methods to suit various age and intellectual groups. Accordingly, 5,679 visitors took part in the "Ambassador of Arbaeen" program, and 5,238 beneficiaries interacted with virtual reality (VR) technology. Additionally, 5,000 visitors participated in the visitor satisfaction survey, 4,853 engaged with the "Paper of Repentance" segment, 3,331 interacted with the "Tree of Virtues," and 1,309 "Hussaini Passports" were issued.
These cultural programs and initiatives fall within the vision of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through its Human Resources Development Department, to leverage the million-strong gatherings during the blessed pilgrimages, transforming the steps toward Karbala into stations for intellectual and educational enrichment while reinforcing faith and moral values among visitors.
