The Intellectual and Cultural Activities Division at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, in coordination with the Shrine of Saad ibn Aqeel (peace be upon him), has held a central mourning assembly in the Tel Afar District of Nineveh Governorate to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), with the participation of religious, social, and governmental figures, alongside local residents.
Speaking to the official website, the head of the division, Sheikh Khalil Al-Ulayawi, stated that "the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Division at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, in coordination with the Shrine of Saad ibn Aqeel (peace be upon him), held a central mourning assembly in Nineveh Governorate/Tel Afar District to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), with the participation of a number of religious, social, and governmental figures and residents of the district."
He explained that the assembly featured the participation of the Hussaini preacher His Eminence Sayyid Muntadhar Al-Haidari and the Hussaini reciter Mullah Wisam Al-Shaibani, in the presence of the representative of the Religious Authority, His Eminence Sayyid Hussein Aslan, alongside a select group of clerics, dignitaries, and government and community leaders, as well as a large gathering of Tel Afar residents from various backgrounds.
He added that the sessions highlighted the biography of the Noble Prophet (PBUH) and his pivotal role in consolidating the message of Islam, guiding humanity from darkness into the light of guidance, while emphasizing the importance of adhering to the values and principles embodied by the Holy Prophet throughout his life, which served as a beacon of guidance and a school for all humanity.
The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to commemorate religious occasions and organize intellectual and cultural events across various Iraqi governorates, contributing to the enhancement of community engagement, the consolidation of the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and the promotion of unity and brotherhood among the Iraqi people.
