As part of its participation in offering services to Arbaeen pilgrims, the Technical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine deployed its human and technical capabilities through its service procession. Operating around the clock, the procession provided an integrated framework of religious, health, cultural, and humanitarian services, recording thousands of beneficiaries across various service tracks and highlighting the authority’s societal role in supporting efforts to ensure the success of the million-strong pilgrimage.
The head of the authority, Dr. Abbas Al-Da'mi, stated: "The Technical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine succeeded through its procession during the Arbaeen pilgrimage in delivering a comprehensive system of humanitarian, awareness, and health services. This was achieved through specialized staff and volunteers who worked around the clock, contributing to meeting the needs of thousands of pilgrims throughout the days of the pilgrimage."
He added that "the health sector accounted for a major portion of the services, with medical teams delivering more than 7,000 health services, including first aid, blood pressure and blood sugar measurements, wound care, and the provision of treatments and medical guidance to pilgrims."
Dr. Al-Da'mi explained that "the cultural program witnessed significant engagement, as 1,200 pilgrims benefited from the electronic competition, while 2,000 pilgrims participated in paper-based competitions. Additionally, 3,000 awareness leaflets containing educational and instructional messages were distributed, alongside dedicated awareness programs for children that benefited 3,000 children."
He pointed out that "the procession also provided direct field services to pilgrims, which included distributing 1,500 boxes of water, 2,000 sandwiches, and 5,000 juice packs, in addition to distributing fruit and refreshments along the pilgrims' path."
He stressed that "alongside its health and service contributions, the procession was keen to organize religious, cultural, and awareness programs that enhanced religious and intellectual consciousness among pilgrims, in line with the objectives of the blessed pilgrimage and its humanitarian message."
These efforts fall within the framework of service and volunteer initiatives witnessed during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and cooperation in serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). This is particularly evident among the departments, institutions, authorities, and centers affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, which utilize their academic, medical, and cultural capabilities to deliver integrated services that contribute to the success of the million-strong pilgrimage.
